The Matsugaoka Cultivation Field is a lush green land that was cultivated by the Shonai feudal clan members after the Meiji Restoration, and has been designated as a national historic site.
Among them, five tile-roofed Joshu Shimamura-style three-story silkworm rooms still exist, and one building has been restored and is now the Matsugaoka Cultivation Memorial Hall.
